TICA MEMBERSHIP 2011
Most of our 2010 members have chosen to rejoin TICA in 2011, and we look forward to working closely with you in the year ahead. If you have not as yet renewed your TICA membership for 2011, you can go to www.tica.ie todownload a registration form that you can post with your cheque, or register and pay over the Internet.
Early next week we will be changing the access codes to www.tica.ie, as well as to the instructional websites to which we offer access, and these sites will from then on only be accessible by 2011 members. We are also adding access to a new website www.evolve9.com to the list of member benefits. Passwords for these sites will be sent next week to members only.
Our new membership mailing list will also come into effect next week; so only current members will receive information via emails or texts.
If you want to keep in the loop and know what is happening in Irish tennis coaching circles, you need to be a member of TICA!
The TICA AGM normally takes place on the day of the National Conference, but was postponed last November due to the weather conditions. We then rescheduled for mid-December, but this meeting had to be cancelled, as we did not achieve a quorum on the night.
The AGM is now scheduled to take place as follows:
DATE: Wednesday 23rd February 2011
VENUE: Room HG18, The Nursing Building, Dublin City University, Dublin 9
(map at http://www.dcu.ie/info/campus.shtml).
It is now crucial that this meeting takes place, and elects a committee to serve all our interests in the year ahead. I would therefore ask that you attend if at all possible. I would appreciate it if you could drop me an email or text (086 822 8235) to let me know that you plan to be there, so that we can gauge the turn out in advance.

I recently subscribed to a free daily e-newsletter that arrives in my inbox each day with the heading “An Executive Summary of Today’s Daily Tennis News”. It is produced by Bob Larson, and really is daily, not excluding Sundays!
It is very useful for getting a quick update on what is happening in the tennis world in the areas of tennis playing, coaching and business. I recommend it for anyone who wants to be up to the minute on what is going on.
