ITF ARTICLE OF THE MONTH
The article of the month for January will link you to “Tennis 10s- Marking Red and Orange Courts: A Guidance Manual”. This manual will act as a guidance document for coaches and tennis facilities regarding how different types of lines can be used to establish Red (36′ foot) and Orange (60′ foot) courts. The manual details the many variations in which smaller courts can be set up more effectively. See: http://www.tennisplayandstay.com/site/resources/manuals.
APP FOR COACHES – RECOMMENDED BY SUNDAY TIMES 8.1.12
The app is called “COACH’S EYE”, and costs 3.99 euro at the iPhone App Store. It allows you to slow down or freeze the frame rate on video you have shot on the iPhone. You can then draw or write on top of the footage. You can also email or upload the video to YouTube from within the App. Sounds like a useful learning tool?
