All the best,
TENNIS IRELAND LEVEL TWO COURSE
I am often asked when the next Tennis Ireland Level 2 course will take place. The answer is: when enough candidates have signed up to make the course viable! So if you are interested in doing this course, please do not wait for it to be announced before you sign up. Instead go to http://www.tennisireland.ie/coaches/coaching_courses/level_2 and complete the online registration form. Otherwise we are in a `chicken and egg` situation…
NATIONAL CONFERENCE 2012
The Tennis Coach Ireland National Conference will take place this year on Sunday 30th September at Castleknock LTC. This years Conference will return to a format we used a number of years ago, involving simultaneous presentations from Irish coaches. Presenters will work with their own pupil/s, in a session tied to an aspect of the new Long Term Player Development Programme.

By now you should be aware of Tennis Ireland’s plans to introduce a licensing scheme for coaches, commencing in 2013. If not, it is important that you go to http://www.tennisireland.ie/home/attention_all_irish_tennis_coaches and check out the details. All coaches need to achieve certain requirements in 2012 (including 100 CPD points), in order to be licensed in 2013.
We ran two surveys of members recently, one on National Tennis Day and one on Employers Liability Insurance. Thank you to all members who responded. For both surveys I used the services of www.surveymonkey.com, and found them excellent. It is a free site (although there is also a `paid for` version) that allows you to quickly and efficiently set up, send out and receive responses to any questions you might care to ask. Have you ever thought of surveying your club members and/or pupils? It is a good way to get useful feedback on your programmes, and let your customers know that you want to listen to what they have to say…
A NOTE FROM JOHN YANDELL OF WWW.TENNISPLAYER.NET
“A few months ago I had the pleasure of working with my friend Jeff Salzenstein, former Stanford All American and top 100 tour player, filming his new instructional course, Tennis Serve Secrets. Using his own teaching principles, Jeff hit a 136mph serve at Indians Wells at the age of 32. Jeff has created three free segments as a special courtesy to Tennisplayer. Click Here and you can check out what the program is like and get substantial free benefit”.
