Dear TCI Member,
Here is the latest news from Tennis Coach Ireland. Please let me know if you have any news, comments or suggestions of your own that you would like to share with other members.
All the best,
“A North Dublin City club is seeking a coach to run adult, beginner and intermediate classes, with an initial 3/4 hours per week over 1 or 2 evenings through the year. There is the possibility to broaden the offering to include additional sessions for more advanced players and perhaps private coaching. We are looking for a friendly, energetic and technically good coach with appropriate qualifications, who will seek to grow and develop the numbers benefiting from coaching. If the coach is willing to make himself or herself available to represent the club in league campaigns, that will also be a consideration”.
If you are interested in this role, please send your letter of application and CV to Peter Farrell at the address above, on or before 5pm on Wednesday 29th August, and I will pass on your application to the club in question.
TENNIS EXHIBITION AND CLINIC
There is an event coming up that I am sure a lot of your pupils would enjoy attending. If you agree, please pass on the following details to your pupils/parents:
THE EVENT: A match between a selection of top Irish players (including Conor Niland and other current Davis Cup players), and players from the University of Notre Dame (one of the best college teams in the USA).
DATE AND VENUE: Friday 31st August, Fitzwilliam LTC.
SCHEDULE: 12pm – Free on court clinic with the Notre Dame coaches.
2pm – Doubles and singles matches.
“There will be live music, food and beverages all day. We are expecting a lot of Notre Dame fans to attend due to the American Football game the same weekend”.
Sounds like a great day out!
