TENNIS 10s

There is some interesting information related to the marketing of what in the U.S. is called ’10 and Under Tennis’ athttps://www.tennisindustry.org/partners/10u.htm. You may be able to adapt some of these resources for your Tennis 10s programme.

LONG TERM PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY

The new Pathway, compiled by Roger Geraghty, has just been published, and is available as a free download fromhttp://www.tennisireland.ie/coaches/player_development_pathway. I have always seen the Pathway as an important document, in that it provides a framework around which coaches can plan the short, medium and long term development of their players.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR CHAIRMAN!

Following recent very successful trips to veterans tournaments abroad, TCI Chairman Liam Cassidy is now ranked in the top 20 doubles players in the world in the over 45 category. A great achievement for a coach who not only spends many hours per week teaching, heads up Tennis Coach Ireland, and is always available to assist any coach who requests help. I just don’t know where he finds the time to play at such a high level as well!
