All the best,
CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT 2012
It will soon be time (on November 30th) to close the Continuous Professional Development scheme for 2012. I have a list of attendees at all the events that have been sanctioned by TCI for points in 2012. However, you may have attended a course that you feel should be considered for 33 points, and this is allowed for under our 2012 Scheme. However, I will not have details of your attendance at this event unless you send them to me. For an event to be considered for sanctioning for CPD points, TCI need to see the details of the event, and to receive a written confirmation of your attendance. If you have been to such an event, and have not yet done so, please send me these details, otherwise for obvious reasons there is no possibility of you being credited with 33 points for this event.
All details must be with me by 5pm on Friday 30th November. Details received after this cannot be considered for the 2012 CPD Programme.
ROBERT CHERRY ON INSTACOACH AND VIDEO ANALYSIS
You may remember from our last newsletter that member ROBERT CHERRY wrote an excellent article on the analysis of video from www.tennisplayer.net. Robert has now written Part 2 of this article – “includes guides on how to use InstaCoach & V1 Golf and also how to put Part 1 and Part 2 of the guides together to print out screenshots of the professional and student side by side to give to the student”.
You can red both parts of Robert’s article, please go to www.tenniscoachireland.ie, log in, and you will see the article in the `Latest News’ section.
INSTACOACH is of course the new App developed by Kris Koik and our own Chairman Liam Cassidy.
For more details, see: https://itunes.apple.com/ie/app/instacoach/id520764144?mt=8
Tennis Coach Ireland would like to thank Robert for taking the time and effort to put these pieces together for all members to benefit from.
CHRISTMAS VOUCHERS – A MARKETING OPPORTUNITY?
Individual lessons have been one sector of the coaching business that has been badly hit by the recession. But Christmas might provide an opportunity for you to stir up the market by selling Coaching Vouchers to people who are looking for the ideal gift for the tennis player in their life… A sign at the club and an email or text to members might see you receiving payment in advance for lessons that you will not be expected to teach until next year. If you give this a go, please let me know how it pans out.
