Dear TCI Member,
Below please find the latest news from Tennis Coach Ireland. Do let me know if you have any news, comments or suggestions of your own that you would like to share with other members.
All the best,
TCI MEMBERSHIP 2013
Just a reminder that if you have not already renewed your TCI membership and insurance for 2013, you are currently not covered under the TCI Public Liability Insurance Scheme. If you are coaching soon, you may want to consider renewing your membership and insurance at www.tenniscoachireland.ie.
Our new membership mailing list will come into effect shortly; so only 2013 members will receive information via emails or texts. We appreciate that it is hard to keep up with all the paperwork at the start of a new year, but hope that if you have not already done so you will take the necessary steps to renew your TCI membership for the year ahead.
People will find it much easier to learn tennis if they are “physically literate”. Physical literacy is just as important as the ability to read and write. The most important step toward developing physical literacy is mastering fundamental movement skills.Physicalliteracy.ca is now live! Use this portal to learn all about physical literacy.
VIDEO FROM ULSTER TALENT COACH CONFERENCE
Jim Watt recently organized a conference for coaches in Northern Ireland who are working with the talented young Ulster players. The practical aspects of the day were recorded on video, and Jim has kindly allowed us to make access to these videos available to TCI members.
you will find 14 short videos highlighting some very effective useful and fun physical exercises.
CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 2013
As you will know, we have changed the CPD Programme this year to allow members maximum flexibility in developing their own programme. Coaches need 100 points in 2013 in order to qualify for a Tennis Ireland License and best rate TCI Public Liability Insurance in 2014. Full details of CPD 2013 are on the home page of www.tenniscoachireland.ie following log in. You should recently have received details of the first CPD course of 2013, provided by www.coachingkids4selfbelief.com.
