ARTICLE BT JOHN McGAHON
Member John McGahon has written a very interesting article entitled ‘Building A Successful Tennis Training Environment’, about his experiences and beliefs as a player and a coach. It is a highly recommended read, and you can access the piece atwww.tenniscoachireland.ie.
Would the information in this article be of use in encouraging more interest in tennis among parents and schools?:http://goo.gl/5LDP2.
“CARDIO TENNIS”: Tennis Ireland may shortly seek to relaunch “Cardio Tennis” in the Irish market. They are seeking a new name for the programme, and would like to know if you might have any suggestions (one proposal so far is ‘Aerobic Tennis’). Tennis Ireland is also looking for Mentors who might be able to assist other coaches develop an expertise in this field. If you would like to be a Mentor, or have a suggestion for a new name for the programme, please contact Roger Geraghty at Biscayne@iolfree.ie.
UPDATE FROM www.TENNISPLAYER.NET: A message from John Yandell: “OK where do I start? The articles with Rick Macci and Brian Gordon on their new teaching system or with my new system starting with the serve? It doesn’t matter. It’s all must reading! We are mobile now and the content, starting with this issue, is taking off into the stratosphere…don’t get left off the rocket ship”! Click Here for the New Issue!
