The drills in this video are part of the everyday training sessions at one of the most successful tennis academies in the world, Tennis Val” See them at: see other similar presentations on player development topics and much more, log in at using the passwords provided to you by TCI as part of your membership benefit package. COACHING KIDS FOR SELF-BELIEF ONLINE COURSE (25 CPD points)  “To maximize the impact that we can have on our player’s development, it is vital, that as coaches we are equally skilled at both directive and non-directive coaching. That means that there needs to be a balance between our ability to observe, diagnose and offer clear technical instructions based on best practice, with our ability to listen attentively and effectively question in order to increase our players awareness and self-responsibility”. If you would like to further your knowledge and skills for non-directive, this course comes highly recommended and can be taken online in your own time (approx 4-6 hours). Details at

A MESSAGE FROM JOHN YANDELL: “Want to keep learning what really happens on the serve? See for the New Issue! You hear a lot about how to hit spin, how to hit the corners of the boxes, etc.  The problem is much of that is wrong and counterproductive. I am really excited about this article because it is based on actually high-speed video that shows the very small differences in the motions for varying these critical factors. And more importantly, how to develop them”.
