Dear TCI Member,

Below please find the latest news from Tennis Coach Ireland. Let me know if you have any news, comments or suggestions of your own that you would like to share with other members.

All the best,

TCI and FACEBOOK: We started our Facebook page to further highlight the Association and the high quality work of TCI coaches. We have recently started to post more videos on the page, and this has led to an upsurge of ‘likes’ and people visiting the page. These videos are of interest to both coaches and players, so I hope that you will visit, like, share and comment on our page. You might like to consider posting to the page, or sending me news and info about you and your club/programmes that I can upload. A useful way for a coach to higher his or her profile to a national and international audience…

EUROPEAN COACHES CONFERENCE: This event was held in Tallinn, Estonia from October 23rd to 25th. Liam Cassidy and I attended on behalf of Tennis Coach Ireland. TCI member Johnny McCormack attended for Tennis Ireland, and another TCI member, David Wilson was there in order to give a very well received presentation on the subject of Teaching Styles for under 14 players. As usual, Liam and I picked up a lot of new ideas and made contacts with coaches from all over Europe, which always serves to spark ideas as to how we can further develop Tennis Coach Ireland and the services it provides to members. Tennis Europe has now made the presentations available on its website, and you can download them here:
